PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT: Recycled Glassware from Egypt

This week, I am delighted to share one of the most beloved products of the year: recycled glassware. I’ve been wondering what’s behind this material’s recent uptick in popularity. I suppose it’s partly because after a year inside people are reaching for that much-needed social cocktail. At the same time, I think their handmade quality reflects a desire for a sense of calm and quiet. Eco-Friendly Tumblers & Glassware from Oaxaca!

They mix the glass waste with cooking oil to create their crystal-quality glassware. Discarded glass is crushed and melted before each piece is blown by hand.
